Anxiety

If you are reading this page, thank you for taking a first step in acknowledging something that is challenging you in your life! You are willing to look at some issues like anxiety and depression that may have interfered with your everyday relationships. The guidance provided on this page may be useful to you.

Anxiety: Building the confidence to handle any situation

Anxiety, the fear that you can’t handle any given situation, is often coupled with depression, loss or grief. You may have anxiety about a number of relationship issues or work related situations, such as dating, financial concerns, raising children, and habits that become patterns such as addiction to food, substances or overspending.

Sometimes a feeling of depression can be linked to a sense of hopelessness, to an anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorder.

Specifically, each of these symptoms can be diagnosed and treated differently:

Anxiety and perfectionism

With anxiety, perfectionism is often involved, which may lead to eating disorders. Or you could be feeling anxious about your ability to earn a living, trying to keep your job, being a strong and happy parent, or maintaining a relationship.

How to stop being angry about anxiety; moving beyond anger and blame

“He who refuses to forgive breaks the bridge over which he, too, must cross.”
– Confucius

What would it take to stop being angry? What if intensity was the task of finding your way and the act of being rather than anger, resentment, anxiety, drama, fear and sadness?
Why can’t we connect to certain people or bond with our children all the time?
